Lake Boating
Boat launch access is restricted to waterfront property owners.
There is no public access to launch a boat on Musselman’s Lake. The ability to operate a powerboat on Musselman’s Lake has for many years now been limited to waterfront property owners only. The reason for this is to limit the number of powerboats operating on Musselman’s Lake. There are 600 households in the community of Musselman’s Lake and if everyone had access, boat traffic would quickly get out of control and safety would be a concern as it was in the 50’s and 60’s when we had a public launch ramp. Options are trailering your boat to Lake Simcoe. It is only ½ hour away with plenty of marinas and ports of call. The other viable option is Port Perry on Lake Scugog.

Boating Rules and Regulations
Boating rules and regulations are enforced on Musselman’s Lake.
Make sure you follow all boating rules and regulations while boating on Musselman’s Lake. Even though it is a small lake you can still get into trouble quickly and it only takes minutes to drown. All boating rules and regulations will be enforced by local boaters and by police that occasionally use residents’ boats to patrol the Lake.

As part of the MLRA Lake Watch initiative, the MLRA added a “Water Safety Tips” section on the home page last year. Also as part of that same initiative we are going to be posting articles and information on water safety on the MLRA website to help educate residents and visitors to the Lake about water safety. Please make sure that you read the posting below thoroughly and pass the information along. Also please make sure that any visitors that you may have to the Lake are aware of WATER SAFETY. You may save a life!
