by Phil Bannon
I would like to extend my unending gratitude to my team, my supporters and our many friends and neighbours for their commitment to our campaign and their continued support over the past 11 years.
I want to thank Mayor Emmerson and all members of Council for their friendship, hard work and dedication. I feel honoured to have served with such dignified individuals who served with the highest degree of integrity. Whitchurch- Stouffville is a better Town because of these people and they deserve all the credit.
I wish Mayor Emmerson well in his quest for the Regional Chairs position. It will serve our community well to have a second voice of reason at the Regional Council.
I have congratulated the new Mayor and all members of Council on their recent election wins. Our future is now in their hands.
To my wife Janice and my beautiful daughters Denise and Ashlea – thank you for your love, strength, purpose and understanding while enduring the criticism and many lows that any elected official suffers throughout their careers and election campaigns.
Thank you Whitchurch-Stouffville. It has been an honour and a privilege to serve as your Ward 2 Councillor for the past 11 years.

Comments Off on PEACE RETURNING TO TOWER PROPERTY
A fence is being erected on the Water Tower property on Ninth Line to prevent trespassing onto the property. Residents have been complaining about trespassing on the Water Tower property by local dirt bike and ATV riders. The concerns are not strictly about the excessive noise being created by these off road machines but there also are concerns about injuries being received by riders while on this private property.

The Results are in…The Lake Is Doing Fine!
The Geranium Corporation sponsored Water Quality and Management of Musselman’s Lake report has been completed by Dr. Neil Hutchinson of Hutchinson Environmental Sciences Ltd., and the findings are very positive.
Please take time to view both videos below as they are very enlightening. You will learn how both rooted plants (weeds) and algae play an integral part in the health of the Lake’s delicate ecology. The first video is a short summary and the second one is Dr. Neil Huthchinson’s full presentation on the Lake. Dr. Neil Hutchinson does such a great job of explaining how there is more to our Lovely Lake than meets the eye. It is a very complicated ecosystem that goes through some pretty amazing seasonal changes that most of us are unaware of. The full video is well worth taking the time to watch.
Also below are links to related posts about the Water Quality and Management of Musselman’s Lake report.
